A Summer Evening Chasing Barbel

Spent a beautiful summers evening by the Warwickshire Avon trotting for Barbel in one of my favourite swims. Landed my first of the season, only a small one which I didn't weigh, probably about six pounds.

Followed that one with an 8lb 5oz fish.

And ended the session with a seven pounder.

A cracking session thoroughly enjoyed, it really is a pleasure to be beside the river in this weather.

  3. I can tell you have been playing with that camera again instead of fishing. Great pic's, nice fish.

  4. Great pictures you got there. Whenever I fish, I can't shoot with my camera or vice versa. It's nice you can multi-task. What lens do you usually use for shooting on your trips? I often bring my 17-55mm 2.8. It's usually my walk-around lens. Thanks for sharing man!

    1. Hi Jill, there is always time for a photo or several, whenever there is a lull in activity the camera comes out. I take two lenses my 18-55 3.5 and a 55-200 4.0. They are the only two I own but seem to do what I want them too-most of the time!!
